Hey Guys,I'm sort of glad this topic came up. The main problem is that more and more ISP's and hosting companies have started implementing 'spam filter' protection because of the outcry by individual users that they are tired of spam.
The problem is that most legitimate newsletters like my own get caught in these filters because I may use a word like 'free' in the content of the email or any of a hundred or more other phrases that trigger a count on the spam filter. These filters can be set for high or low resistance, but the problem is still the same....many many people won't get the newsletter because they are unknowingly filtering it out.
The good news is that many of the ISP's actually give you some control over how tight or loose you set your filters. The bad news is most people are so sick of spam they set it very high or it is set high be default and they will not get the newsletter unless they know how to make that change.
This is why I decided to start putting the newsletter in its entirety online so that way anyone who doesn't receive a particular issue will know that once every two weeks, they can simply go see if the next newsletter is posted.
I will also continue sending it out via email as many people do get it that way and like receiving it that way.
Hope that answers your questions.
If you want to be proactive about what you do or do not receive, you can ask your ISP to add certain domain names to what is called a 'White List'. This is the terminology used by the very popular 'SpamAssassin' filter. If you add my domain of wordnet.net and polygraphplace.com to your white list, then you will receive all mail coming from either of those two domains.
